AAT1217ICA-1.2-T1

The AAT1217 is a high-efficiency, synchronous, fixed-frequency, step-up converter designed for battery-powered applications. It is suitable for single-cell or dual-cell alkaline, NiMH, or NiCd batteries, as well as single-cell lithium-ion batteries.

Key electrical specifications include an input voltage range of 0.5V to VOUT and an output voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. It can deliver up to 100mA from a single AA cell, 400mA from dual AA cells, or 500mA from a single lithium-ion cell. The device features a low start-up voltage of 0.85V typical and operates down to 0.5V. It achieves up to 93% efficiency and has a fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz.

The AAT1217 includes a 1.2A peak inductor current limit and over-current protection. It also features light load mode operation and low quiescent current for high efficiency at light loads. The converter has a low shutdown current of less than 1.0μA.

Available in a Pb-free, low profile (1mm) 6-pin TSOT23 or SOT23 package, the AAT1217 is rated for an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Its integrated control circuitry and high switching frequency minimize solution footprint.
