The AMICCOM A7125 is a versatile 2.4GHz ISM band wireless transceiver designed for high performance and low cost applications. It features a highly sensitive receiver (-90dBm @2Mbps) and an efficient power amplifier (up to 3dBm), along with a frequency synthesizer and base-band modem.

 

This transceiver supports programmable data rates up to 2Mbps and operates within the 2400-2483.5 MHz ISM band using FSK modulation. It boasts low current consumption in both RX (17mA) and TX (15.7mA) modes, and a very low sleep current of 1.5µA. The device integrates an on-chip regulator supporting input voltages from 2.0V to 3.6V.

 

Designed for ease of use, the A7125 integrates numerous functions such as CRC error detection, FEC for error correction, RSSI for clear channel assessment, and data whitening for encryption. It includes separated 64-byte TX/RX FIFOs, expandable to 256 bytes, and supports direct mode with clock recovery or frame sync signals. The A7125 is housed in a compact QFN 4x4mm, 20-pin package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.

 

Applications include 2.4GHz communication systems, wireless remote controls, wireless toys and gaming, wireless keyboards and mice, and wireless audio/video streaming.
