The Allegro Microsystems A6862KLPTR-T is an N-channel power MOSFET driver designed for 3-phase solid-state relay applications. It features three independent floating gate drive outputs capable of maintaining the power MOSFETs in the on-state across the full supply range, even with high phase-voltage slew rates.
This driver includes an integrated charge pump regulator to provide the necessary voltage above the battery supply for continuous on-state operation. It supports battery voltages down to 4.5V while maintaining sufficient gate drive (>7.5V) with 100 kΩ gate source resistors. The MOSFETs switch on within 8 µs and switch off within 1 µs.
With two independent activation inputs, the A6862 can enter a low-power sleep mode. Undervoltage monitors ensure the pumped supply voltage and gate drive outputs remain sufficiently high for safe MOSFET operation. The device is supplied in a 16-lead TSSOP package with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal dissipation.
Key electrical specifications include a 4.5V to 50V supply voltage range and a -40°C to 150°C operating temperature. The 16-lead TSSOP package with exposed pad is suitable for surface mounting.
