The Allegro MicroSystems A6810ELWTR is a 10-bit serial input latched source driver. It combines 10-bit CMOS shift registers, data latches, and control circuitry with bipolar sourcing outputs and PNP active pull-downs. Designed primarily for driving vacuum-fluorescent (VF) displays, its 60V and -40mA output ratings also allow for use in many other peripheral power driver applications.
This device features an increased data input rate compared to older models and a controlled output slew rate, which helps reduce electromagnetic noise. The CMOS shift register and latches enable direct interfacing with microprocessor-based systems, supporting serial data input rates of at least 10 MHz with a 3.3V or 5V logic supply. A CMOS serial data output allows for cascaded connections when additional drive lines are required.
