The A5191HRTNG-XTP is a single-chip CMOS modem designed for Highway Addressable Remote Transducer (HART) field instruments and masters. It integrates modulation, demodulation, receive filtering, carrier detect, and transmit-signal shaping functions with minimal external components.
Operating from a 3.0V to 5.5V supply, the modem uses phase continuous FSK at 1200 bps with Bell 202 shift frequencies of 1200 Hz and 2200 Hz. It supports half-duplex communication and meets HART physical layer requirements. The internal oscillator requires a 460.8 kHz crystal or ceramic resonator.
The device is available in a 32-VFQFN exposed pad package (32-QFN 5x5mm) and operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is Pb-Free and compatible with 3.3V or 5V microcontrollers.
Typical applications include HART multiplexers, HART modem interfaces, and 4-20 mA loop powered transmitters. The low power consumption makes it suitable for intrinsically safe applications.
The supply voltage range is 3.0V to 5.5V.
It is available in a 32-VFQFN exposed pad package (32-QFN 5x5mm).
The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
It is listed as RoHS3 compliant, but this is unverified from the datasheet.
The data rate is 1200 bps (1.2 kbps).
It uses FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) with Bell 202 shift frequencies of 1200 Hz and 2200 Hz.
It operates in half-duplex mode.
