The Actel ProASIC 3E family, including the A3PE3000-2FGG896, represents the third generation of Microsemi flash FPGAs, providing enhanced performance and density over previous families. These devices leverage nonvolatile flash technology, offering a secure, low-power, single-chip solution with instant-on capability. The reprogrammable nature of these FPGAs provides time-to-market benefits at an ASIC-level unit cost, enabling designers to create high-density systems using familiar ASIC or FPGA design flows.

Key features of the ProASIC 3E family include up to three million system gates, supported by up to 504 kbits of true dual-port SRAM and up to 620 user I/Os.
