The Allegro Microsystems A3950SLPTR-T is a DMOS Full-Bridge Motor Driver capable of peak output currents to ±2.8 A and operating voltages to 36 V. It is designed for PWM (pulse-width modulated) control of DC motors.

 

This driver features internal synchronous rectification control circuitry to lower power dissipation during PWM operation. It includes internal circuit protection such as motor lead short-to-supply/short-to-ground, thermal shutdown with hysteresis, undervoltage monitoring, and crossover-current protection. The A3950 is supplied in a 16-pin TSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad for enhanced thermal dissipation.

 

Key features include low R DS(on) outputs, overcurrent protection, motor lead short-to-supply protection, short-to-ground protection, a sleep function, synchronous rectification, a diagnostic output, internal undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and crossover-current protection. The device is suitable for general-purpose applications and uses a parallel interface.

 

The A3950SLPTR-T is packaged in a 16-TSSOP (0.173", 4.40mm Width) Exposed Pad, surface mount configuration. It is designed for brushed DC motors.
