The Allegro Microsystems A2557SLB is a protected quad driver with fault detection and sleep mode, suitable for relay-driving applications. Each of its four outputs can sink up to 300 mA with a minimum breakdown voltage of 60 V and a sustaining voltage of 40 V.
This device incorporates independent overcurrent protection and thermal limiting for each driver, with overcurrent protection activated at a nominal 500 mA. It also includes fault-detection circuitry for open or shorted load conditions, indicated by a single active-low FAULT output. A low-power Sleep Mode is activated when ENABLE is low or all inputs are low, reducing supply current to below 100 μA.
The A2557SLB is available in a 16-SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications. It features TTL- and 5 V CMOS-compatible inputs and integral output flyback/clamp diodes. The operating temperature range is -20°C to 85°C.
