This Mill-Max Series 940 PLCC socket accepts JEDEC PLCC packages (MO-047 and MO-052). It features 32 positions arranged in a 2×7 and 2×9 grid with a 1.27mm pitch. The surface mount design includes standoffs that provide clearance for heat dissipation and cleaning after soldering. Contacts are made from beryllium copper with tin-lead plating (150µin per datasheet) and the housing is glass reinforced PPS. The closed-frame design protects the contacts and the operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
The socket is available in tube packaging (27 pieces per tube) and also supports tape and reel packaging (400 pieces per reel). The low profile design is ideal for high-density PC board stacking. This component is designed for use with JEDEC-standard PLCC integrated circuits.
