The Bourns TISP9110LDM is a programmable overvoltage protection device engineered to safeguard modern dual polarity supply rail ringing SLICs (Subscriber Line Interface Circuits) from overvoltages on telephone lines. These overvoltages can stem from lightning strikes, AC power contact, or induction.
This device features integrated complementary buffered-gate SCRs and provides protection for both positive and negative battery supplies. It boasts a wide programming range from -110 V to +110 V and requires a low maximum gate triggering current of 5 mA. The TISP9110LDM is rated for dynamic protection performance specified under typical international surge waveforms, including Telcordia GR-1089-CORE and ITU-T K.20/21/45.
It is housed in an 8-SOIC (210 mil) surface mount package. The TISP9110LDM is programmed by connecting its G1 and G2 gate terminals to the negative (-V(BAT)) and positive (+V(BAT)) SLIC battery supplies, respectively. This configuration establishes a protector that operates approximately +1.4 V above +V(BAT) and -1.4 V below -V(BAT) under AC power induction and power contact conditions.
