The Preci-Dip 90152-AS is a spring loaded contact (pogo pin) designed for surface mount PCB applications. It features a one-piece solid body construction with no capped components, preventing solder wicking into the shell. The contact is Swiss precision machined for high quality and long product life.
Electrically, the 90152-AS is rated for 3A continuous current at a 10°C rise (5A peak) with a maximum contact resistance of 20mΩ. Voltage ratings are 100Vrms AC and 150Vdc. Mechanically, it offers a stroke of 1.4mm with a working height range of 5.60mm to 7.00mm. Initial force is 0.25N, half-stroke force is 0.85N, and it is rated for a minimum of 40,000 mating cycles.
The contact materials include a brass alloy piston and barrel with gold plating (0.5µm on piston, 0.25µm on barrel) and a music wire spring with gold flash. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The component is mounted via SMT with a circular pad layout of 1.83mm diameter, and the plunger has a 0.042 inch (1.07mm) diameter.
The 90152-AS is supplied in bulk or on tape and reel, suitable for high-volume assembly. It can also be assembled into an insulator as part of a custom connector solution.
