The 8ETX06 is a hyperfast rectifier diode from Vishay Semiconductors, part of the FRED Pt family. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 8A. The device exhibits a typical forward voltage of 2.3V at 8A and 25°C, and a typical reverse recovery time of 15ns under standard test conditions.
Designed for high efficiency power conversion, the 8ETX06 features a planar structure with platinum-doped lifetime control for optimized forward voltage drop, hyperfast recovery time, and soft recovery characteristics. It is intended for use in PFC boost stages, SMPS AC-to-DC sections, inverters, and as freewheeling diodes.
The diode is housed in a through-hole TO-220AC package (supplier device package TO-220AC) and is rated for an operating junction temperature range of -65°C to 175°C. The part number with PbF suffix indicates lead-free terminations.
