The 8D717W35BA is a jam nut receptacle housing from the 8D series by Souriau-Sunbank by Eaton. It features 55 positions for size 22D socket contacts with crimp termination. The shell is made of aluminum with an olive drab cadmium finish, providing corrosion resistance and 500 hours of salt spray protection. The housing is panel mounted with a bulkhead front side nut and threaded fastening. It is rated IP67 for dust tight and waterproof operation. The operating temperature range is -65°C to +175°C. The insulator is thermoplastic and seals are silicon elastomer. Contact plating is gold over copper alloy with a minimum thickness of 0.8µm. The design is based on MIL-DTL-38999 Series III standards.
