The BI Technologies 89PR10K is a 3/4" rectangular multiturn cermet trimming potentiometer designed for precise resistance adjustments. It features a standard resistance range from 10 Ohms to 2 MegOhms, with a standard tolerance of ±10% (±20% for resistances under 100 Ohms).
This potentiometer has a maximum input voltage of 200 Vdc or rms and a power rating of 0.75 Watts at 85°C, derating to 0 Watts at 125°C. It boasts a high resolution, essentially infinite, and a contact resistance variation of a maximum of 1% or 1 Ohm, whichever is greater. The operating temperature range is –55°C to +125°C.
Environmental testing includes resistance to thermal shock, moisture, shock, and vibration, with minimal resistance or voltage variation. Mechanical features include clutch action at both ends and a starting torque maximum of 5 oz.-in. The unit weighs nominally 0.05 oz (1.4 grams).
