The 3M 89130-0101 is a 30-position IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) socket from the 891 series, designed for terminating 0.050" pitch ribbon cables. The contacts are gold plated (30.0µin / 0.76µm) over nickel, ensuring reliable electrical performance.
This socket is rated for 26-28 AWG stranded wire and supports current up to 3.5A per contact (single line, 26 AWG) with derating for multiple adjacent lines. The glass-filled polyester (PBT) housing meets UL94V-0 flammability rating and is gray in color. The mounting type is free hanging (in-line), and the connector includes feed through and polarizing key features for proper alignment.
