The 3M 8444-11B1-RK-TP is a 44-position PLCC socket from the 8400 series, designed for through-hole mounting with solder termination. It features a 2.54mm pitch and 1.27mm contact pitch, with 4 rows spaced at 12.7mm. The closed frame design accepts JEDEC MO-047 and MO-052 chip carriers and is compatible with automated loading equipment.
The socket is constructed with a glass-filled PBT housing rated UL94 V-0 and copper alloy contacts with a 160µin matte tin wiping area over 50µin nickel underplating. Electrical characteristics include contact resistance of 15mΩ, insulation resistance greater than 103MΩ, and capacitance less than 1pF at 1MHz. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 105°C.
