The 3M 8428-11B1-RK-TP is a low-profile, four-row PLCC socket from the 8400 series. It accepts JEDEC-compliant chip carriers (MO-047 square, MO-052 rectangular) and features an open top design for unrestricted airflow and molded slots for easy device extraction.
This socket has 28 positions arranged in a 4x7 grid with 2.54mm pitch and 7.62mm row spacing. The housing is made of glass-filled PBT (UL 94V-0), and contacts are copper alloy with 160µin matte tin wiping area over 50µin nickel underplating. It is rated for wave soldering only.
