The 83CNQ100A is a Schottky rectifier array from Vishay High Power Products, designed for high efficiency and high temperature operation up to 175°C junction temperature. It contains two 40A Schottky diodes in a common cathode configuration, providing a total average forward current of 80A with a 50% duty cycle rectangular waveform at TC=132°C.
Key electrical characteristics include a maximum reverse voltage of 100V, low forward voltage drop of 0.67V per leg at 40A and 125°C, and fast switching speed suitable for high frequency operation. The device offers high surge capability with a non-repetitive peak surge current of 7000A (5μs sine) and 720A (10ms sine).
The 83CNQ100A is housed in the D-61-8 package, a fully transfer-molded, low profile, small footprint, high current module designed for chassis mount applications. The package features high purity, high temperature epoxy encapsulation for enhanced mechanical strength and moisture resistance, along with a guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long term reliability.
