The ebm-papst 8314 is a DC axial compact fan designed for reliable cooling in a variety of applications. It operates on a nominal voltage of 24 VDC with a wide operating range of 12 V to 31.5 V, consuming 2.7 W of power. The fan delivers an air flow of 54 m³/h (31.8 CFM) at 3300 RPM, generating a sound pressure level of 36 dB(A) and a sound power level of 5.2 B.

Constructed with a glass-fiber reinforced PBT plastic housing and a glass-fiber reinforced PA plastic impeller, the fan measures 80 mm x 80 mm x 32 mm and weighs 0.170 kg. It uses a ball bearing system with a rated service life of 70,000 hours at 40°C and 27,500 hours at maximum temperature. The fan is designed for chassis mount installation and features 2 wire leads (AWG 22, TR 64, stripped and tin-plated) for termination.

Protection features include reverse polarity protection, locked-rotor protection, and overload protection. The fan is approved to CE, CSA, UL, and VDE standards. Airflow direction is exhaust over struts, with clockwise rotation viewed toward the rotor. The fan is suitable for general-purpose cooling in electronics, telecommunications, and industrial equipment.
