The 824011 is a unidirectional steering (rail-to-rail) TVS diode from Würth Elektronik's WE-TVS High Speed Series. It is designed to protect two data lines plus a power line from ESD and transient overvoltages. The device features a maximum working voltage of 5V (I/O to GND) and a DC operating voltage up to 6V. It can handle peak pulse currents of 13A (8/20µs) and 40A (5/50ns EFT). ESD capability is rated at 24kV air discharge and 16kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2. The diode is supplied in a compact SOT-23-5L surface-mount package and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It is RoHS, REACH, and halogen-free compliant, with an MSL of Level 3. Typical applications include protecting very fast data lines such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, and PoE interfaces.
