The 80EPF04 is a fast soft recovery rectifier diode from Vishay Dale's QUIETIR series. It is rated for a maximum average forward current of 80A at case temperature 95°C with 180° conduction half sine wave, and a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 400V. The device features a low forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 40A and 1.25V at 80A, and a typical reverse recovery time of 190ns at 125°C. The diode is designed for applications requiring combined short reverse recovery time and low forward voltage drop, such as output rectification and freewheeling in inverters, choppers, and converters, as well as input rectification where EMI restrictions are severe. The device is housed in a TO-247AC through-hole package, with a junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It has a peak non-repetitive surge current rating of 1000A and an I²t rating of 5100 A²s. The glass passivation ensures stable operation under severe temperature and power cycling conditions.
