The Glenair 809-001 is a size #23 crimp pin contact designed for use with Micro-Crimp series 79 and Mighty Mouse series 80 connectors. Constructed from beryllium copper alloy per ASTM B196/B197 with 50 microinches minimum gold over nickel plating, it provides reliable electrical performance and corrosion resistance. The contact accepts standard 22 to 28 AWG wire and is rated for a maximum current of 5 amperes with a maximum voltage drop of 70 mV at 5 A and 25°C. Crimp tensile strength varies by wire size and coating, reaching 12 lb minimum for #22 AWG silver/tin coated copper wire.
The contact operates over a wide temperature range of -65°C to +200°C, making it suitable for demanding environments. The socket contact has a minimum separation force of 0.5 ounces. Contacts are supplied in bulk packaging and terminated using standard M22520 crimpers with appropriate positioners. The overall length is 0.283 to 0.289 inches including spherical radius.
