This Littelfuse 8.0SMDJ36CA is a bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 36V and a clamping voltage of 58.1V at a peak pulse current of 137.8A. With an 8000W peak pulse power capability (10/1000μs waveform), it is suitable for telecom, industrial, and consumer applications.
The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps and provides ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC-61000-4-2. It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to 150°C. The DO-214AB (SMCJ) surface mount package enables compact board design and is MSL Level 1 per J-STD-020.
The series is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and Pb-free (E3). The glass passivated chip junction ensures reliable performance. Typical reverse leakage current is less than 5μA for breakdown voltages above 22V.
