The 8.0SMDJ14CA is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 14V and a clamping voltage of 23.2V, with a peak pulse current rating of 344.9A. The device can dissipate 8kW of peak pulse power (10/1000μs waveform) and has a response time of less than 1ps.
This TVS diode is suitable for telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications, protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits. It offers ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 (30kV air/contact) and EFT protection per IEC 61000-4-4. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C (junction), with storage from -65°C to 175°C. Thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient, with a maximum power dissipation of 6.5W at TL=50°C.
