The 74VHCU04MX is an advanced high-speed CMOS inverter fabricated with silicon gate CMOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation similar to equivalent Bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low CMOS power dissipation.
This device features a wide operating voltage range of 2V to 5.5V, making it suitable for interfacing between 5V and 3V systems. It has a maximum propagation delay of 7ns at 5V and 50pF, and a low quiescent current of 2µA maximum at 25°C.
The internal circuit is composed of a single-stage inverter, allowing for use in analog applications such as crystal oscillators. An input protection circuit allows 0V to 7V to be applied to the input pins without regard to the supply voltage, preventing device destruction due to mismatched supply and input voltages.
The 74VHCU04MX is available in a 14-SOIC surface mount package. It offers high noise immunity and low noise output characteristics.
