The ON Semiconductor 74VHC373MTCX is an advanced, high-speed CMOS octal D-type latch with 3-STATE outputs. Fabricated using silicon gate CMOS technology, it achieves high-speed operation similar to bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low CMOS power dissipation.

This 8-bit D-type latch is controlled by a latch enable input (LE) and an output enable input (OE). The latches appear transparent to data when LE is HIGH. When LE is LOW, the data that meets the setup time is latched. When the OE input is HIGH, the eight outputs are in a high impedance state. The device features a propagation delay of 5.0 ns typical at 5V, high noise immunity (28% VCC minimum), and low noise output (0.6V typical).

Designed for versatility, the 74VHC373MTCX operates over a voltage range of 2V to 5.5V and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It includes input protection circuits that allow 0V to 5.5V to be applied to the input pins without regard to the supply voltage, enabling interface between 5V and 3V systems. The device is supplied in a 20-TSSOP package suitable for surface mounting.
