The 74HCT221N,112 is a dual non-retriggerable monostable multivibrator IC manufactured by NXP Semiconductors. Each multivibrator has edge-triggered inputs that can function as enable inputs, with pulse triggering occurring at a specific voltage level. The Schmitt-trigger input circuitry on the nB inputs provides excellent noise immunity by allowing jitter-free triggering from inputs with slow transition rates.
This device operates within a supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V and offers CMOS low power dissipation with high noise immunity. The input levels are compatible with TTL logic. The output pulse width is defined by the external components and has a typical variance of less than ±5%. The output pulses can be terminated by active LOW reset inputs. The 74HCT221N,112 is specified for operation from -40 °C to +125 °C.
Packaged in a 16-DIP format, this component is suitable for through-hole mounting. Its latch-up performance exceeds 100 mA, and it features ESD protection exceeding 2000 V (HBM) and 1000 V (CDM).
