The 74HC75N from Philips is a high-speed Si-gate CMOS device functioning as a Quad Bistable Transparent Latch. It is pin compatible with low power Schottky TTL (LSTTL) and specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.
This latch features four bistable latches. Two latches are simultaneously controlled by one of two active HIGH enable inputs (LE12 and LE34). When LEnn is HIGH, data enters the latches and appears at the nQ outputs, following the data inputs (nD) in a transparent manner. Data present at the nD inputs one set-up time prior to the HIGH-to-LOW transition of LEnn is stored in the latches, and the latched outputs remain stable as long as LEnn is LOW.
The device is housed in a SOIC 16 package and is designed for surface mounting. It offers low-power dissipation, making it suitable for various digital logic applications where efficient power usage is a consideration.
