The 74HC73D from NXP Semiconductors is a dual JK flip-flop integrated circuit designed for digital logic applications. Each flip-flop features individual J, K, clock (nCP), and reset (nR) inputs, along with complementary nQ and nQ outputs.
This device operates with a wide supply voltage range of 2.0V to 6.0V and supports a clock frequency of up to 83 MHz. The negative edge-triggered clock input and asynchronous active-LOW reset ensure predictable operation. The J and K inputs require stability one set-up time prior to the HIGH-to-LOW clock transition.
Designed for surface mounting, the 74HC73D comes in a 14-SOIC package with a body width of 3.9mm. It is specified for operation across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C (TA). The inputs include clamp diodes, allowing for the use of current-limiting resistors to interface with voltages exceeding VCC.
