The 74HC4538D from HAR is a dual D-type flip-flop designed for positive edge-triggered operation. This integrated circuit features individual data (nD), clock (nCP), set (nSD), and reset (nRD) inputs, along with complementary nQ and nQ outputs. Data meeting setup and hold time requirements on the low-to-high clock transition is stored and appears at the nQ output. The flip-flop includes Schmitt-trigger action on the clock input, providing tolerance for slower clock rise and fall times. Input clamp diodes allow for current-limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages exceeding VCC.

This component is available with either CMOS or TTL input levels, catering to different logic families. It is specified for operation across a broad temperature range, from -40°C to +125°C.
