The 74HC164S14-13 from Diodes Incorporated is an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register. Data is shifted into the register on the low-to-high transition of the clock pin (CP). Each clock pulse transfers data from each stage to the next, with new serial data entering the first stage (Q0).
This device features a wide supply voltage range from 2.0V to 6.0V and can sink or source 4mA at 4.5V. It operates across a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The inputs have Schmitt trigger action, providing noise immunity. ESD protection exceeds 2000V for the Human Body Model.
