The 74AC240MTR from STMicroelectronics is an advanced high-speed CMOS octal bus buffer with 3-state outputs. It is fabricated using sub-micron silicon gate and double-layer metal wiring C2MOS technology.
This buffer features an operating voltage range of 2V to 6V and a typical propagation delay of 4.2ns at 5V. The device offers a low power dissipation with a maximum supply current of 4μA at 25°C. It provides high noise immunity with VIH/VIL at 28% VCC minimum and has a symmetrical output impedance with a minimum of 24mA for both IOH and IOL.
All inputs and outputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge, providing 2KV ESD immunity. The 74AC240MTR is pin and function compatible with the 74 Series 240. It is designed for use with 3-state memory address drivers and similar applications.
