The Würth Elektronik 74980111211 is a single-port RJ45 connector with integrated magnetics designed for 10/100 Base-T Ethernet applications. It features a 1:1 turns ratio for both transmit and receive channels, with an open circuit inductance of 350 µH (minimum at 100kHz, 100mV, 8mA DC bias). The insertion loss is -1.0 dB maximum from 1-30 MHz, and common mode rejection is -40 dB minimum from 1-100 MHz. Return loss is -18 dB minimum from 1-10 MHz, -16 dB from 1-30 MHz, -12 dB from 30-60 MHz, and -10 dB from 60-100 MHz. Isolation voltage is 1500 Vrms for 1 minute.
The connector includes a yellow-green LED with a forward voltage of 1.8-2.8V at 20 mA. The housing is made of thermoplastic with UL-94V0 flammability rating. Contacts are gold plated (30µ" on contact area, 100% tin with nickel underplating). The part is shielded with an EMI finger and includes board guide and solder retention features. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
This connector is compliant with IEEE 802.3u for 10/100Base-TX and supports AutoMDIX. It is surface mount with a right-angle orientation and tab up. The package height above board is 0.536" (13.61mm).
