The Bourns 70ABJ-3-M0E is a 3-position male compression contact connector designed for high-reliability board-to-board connections. It features a 1.27mm pitch and surface mount termination, making it suitable for compact electronic assemblies. Electrical ratings include 3A per contact and 60V, with a maximum contact resistance of 25 milliohms (50 milliohms after 50,000 cycles). The connector is rated for 50,000 mating cycles minimum, with a normal force of 35 grams per finger.
The contacts are made of copper alloy with 30 microinches minimum gold plating over nickel underplating, ensuring excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The insulator is glass reinforced thermoplastic rated UL 94V-0, black. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. The connector is RoHS compliant and halogen free, with an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited floor life).
Designed for pick-and-place assembly, the 70ABJ-3-M0E is supplied in embossed tape packaging. According to the datasheet, the standard package quantity for 2 and 3 contact variants is 500 pieces per reel, though the database indicates 1000 pieces. This discrepancy should be verified. The connector is suitable for applications requiring high cycle life and reliable spring-loaded contacts.
