The Kyocera AVX 709296001004006 is a single position poke-in wire contact from the 70-9296 series, designed for solid state lighting and industrial wire-to-board applications. It accepts 12 to 20 AWG wires and features a dual beam box contact for mechanical stability and wire retention. The contact is rated for 300V and delivers current ratings up to 20A at 12 AWG, with derated values for smaller wire sizes. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
The contact uses phosphor bronze base material with a pure tin plating finish. It is surface mount with a right angle orientation and terminated by soldering. The part includes a wire stop feature for proper wire positioning and has a durability of 5 cycles. Packaging is tape and reel for automated SMT placement.
This poke-in contact is intended to replace manual soldering of wires to PCBs, providing a reliable connection in rugged environments. The 4mm contact size and 2.5mm without wire stop variant are also available for applications requiring variable PCB mating tolerances.
