The TE Connectivity 640388-6 is a 16-position, single-row, vertical through-hole pin header from the MTA-156 series. It features a 3.96mm (0.156 inch) centerline pitch and is designed for wire-to-board power applications.
This header is partially shrouded with a friction lock mating retention feature. The contacts are made of copper alloy with a tin plating on the mating area and termination area, and a nickel underplating. It is rated for 7A maximum contact current and 600VAC operating voltage, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to 105°C.
The housing is made of polyester (UL94 V-0 rated) in a natural color. The connector mounts vertically to a printed circuit board via through-hole solder termination. The mating post length is 10.16mm and the termination tail length is 3.18mm.
