The 6396BG is a board level heat sink from the 6390 series by Aavid, Thermal Division of Boyd Corporation. It is designed to cool TO-218 and TO-220 semiconductor packages. The heat sink is constructed from extruded aluminum with a black anodized finish. Its dimensions are 25.40mm in length, 41.91mm in width, and 25.40mm in fin height. It can be mounted in either horizontal or vertical orientation using bolt-on and PC pin attachment methods. A mounting kit is required for device attachment. The thermal resistance is 5.60°C/W in natural convection and 1.50°C/W at 600 LFM forced air flow. Power dissipation is rated at 4.0W for a 30°C temperature rise. The heat sink is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
