The 60EPF02 by Vishay Dale is a fast soft recovery rectifier diode designed for high-efficiency power conversion. It offers a maximum repetitive reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 60A at a case temperature of 106°C with half sine wave conduction. The diode features a low forward voltage drop, with a maximum of 1.3V at 60A and a typical 1.1V at 30A, minimizing conduction losses.
Reverse recovery time is optimized for soft switching, with typical values of 70ns at 1A and 100A/μs, and 180ns at 60A and 25A/μs. The device can handle non-repetitive surge currents up to 830A for 10ms. Thermal performance is excellent with a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 0.4°C/W, enabling effective heat management.
The diode is housed in a TO-247AC modified through-hole package, suitable for mounting on heatsinks. It is designed for industrial applications such as output rectification, freewheeling in inverters, choppers, and converters, as well as input rectification where conducted EMI must be minimized.
