The Vishay 60APU04 is a 60 A, 400 V ultrafast soft recovery diode part of the FRED Pt® family. It is designed for high frequency power conditioning systems where reduced EMI and RFI are critical. The diode offers a typical reverse recovery time of 50 ns under low current conditions and 85 ns at 60 A, ensuring efficient switching. With a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and a low forward voltage of 1.05 V typical at 25°C, it minimizes conduction losses. The device is housed in a TO-247AC through-hole package (TO-247-3 variant) with a weight of 5.5 g and a mounting torque range of 1.2 to 2.4 N·m. The soft recovery characteristic reduces the need for snubber circuits in most applications, making it suitable for welding, power converters, and other high-frequency systems.
