The 5KP75 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode from Diotec Semiconductor, designed for overvoltage protection in a variety of applications. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 75V, a maximum clamping voltage of 134V at 37A peak pulse current, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 5000W (10/1000µs waveform). The device can handle a peak forward surge current of 400A (8.3ms half sine wave).
Thermal characteristics include a maximum junction temperature of 175°C, steady state power dissipation of 8W at 50°C ambient, and thermal resistance junction-to-ambient of 16 K/W and junction-to-lead of 4 K/W. The forward voltage is less than 3.5V at 100A.
Packaged in a P600 axial case with through-hole mounting, the part weighs approximately 1.5g and is made of UL 94V-0 flame-retardant material. Solder conditions are 260°C for 10 seconds. The device is not moisture sensitive (MSL N/A).
The 5KP75 is suitable for overvoltage protection, free-wheeling diodes, and load-dump protection in automotive supply systems. It is compliant with RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals requirements.
The reverse standoff voltage (VRWM) is 75V.
The maximum clamping voltage is 134V.
The maximum peak pulse current (IPP) is 37A.
The 5KP75 is available in a P600 axial package with through-hole mounting.
The peak pulse power dissipation is 5000W (10/1000µs waveform).
The maximum peak forward surge current (IFSM) is 400A (8.3ms half sine wave).
The operating junction temperature range is -50°C to 175°C.
