The 5KP60A-E3/54 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It features a standoff voltage of 60V and a breakdown voltage range of 66.7V to 73.7V at 5mA test current. The maximum clamping voltage is 97V at a peak pulse current of 51.7A (10/1000µs waveform), with a peak pulse power dissipation of 5000W. The device has a reverse leakage current of 10µA at the standoff voltage.
Thermal characteristics include an operating junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and a maximum power dissipation of 8.0W on an infinite heatsink. The diode is packaged in a P600 axial through-hole case with matte tin plated leads, featuring a color band to indicate the cathode. The package is molded with UL 94 V-0 rated epoxy.
