The 5KP6.0 is a 5kW unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning and other surge events.
Key electrical characteristics include a reverse standoff voltage of 6V, a maximum clamping voltage of 10.82V, and a peak pulse power rating of 5000W (10/1000μs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps and can handle a peak forward surge current of 400A (8.3ms half sine wave).
The diode is housed in a P600 axial package (through-hole mounting), rated for operating temperatures from -55°C to 175°C. It is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and lead free (Pb-free E3 terminal finish).
