The 5KP12C is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 12V and a clamping voltage of 20.9V. With a peak pulse power dissipation of 5kW (5000W) for a 10/1000μs waveform, it provides robust transient suppression. The device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0ps and typical leakage current below 2μA. It is rated for ESD protection up to 30kV air discharge and 30kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
