The 5KP10 is a 5 kW peak pulse power transient voltage suppression diode designed by Littelfuse to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 10 V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 11.1 V. The maximum clamping voltage is 17.85 V at the peak pulse current. This unidirectional device is capable of handling 5000 W of peak pulse power per the 10/1000 μs waveform. The 5KP10 is housed in a P600 axial leaded package suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 175°C and has a fast response time of less than 1 ps. The device is halogen free and RoHS compliant per the datasheet. Steady state power dissipation is 8.0 W on infinite heat sink, and peak forward surge current is 400 A for 8.3 ms. Typical reverse leakage current is less than 2 μA.
