This Adafruit HDC3022 Precision Temperature & Humidity Sensor breakout board utilizes the TI HDC302x series chip, providing high accuracy and precision for environmental monitoring. It boasts a typical accuracy of ±0.1°C for temperature and 0.5% for relative humidity, with a long-term drift of 0.19% RH.
The sensor features a true I2C interface, requiring only two wires for communication, making it a superior alternative to DHT11/DHT22 sensors. It is 5V safe, supporting operating voltages from 1.8V to 5V for both power and logic levels, allowing compatibility with a wide range of microcontrollers and microcomputers without the need for level shifters. With four selectable I2C addresses, multiple sensors can be used on a single bus.
Adafruit provides a full-featured Arduino and CircuitPython/Python library to facilitate easy integration and data retrieval for environmental monitoring applications. The breakout board includes a white PTFE filter cover to protect the sensor.
