The Alpha Wire 5879/12 WH005 is a 12 AWG hook-up wire featuring a silver-plated copper conductor with 19/25 stranding. The conductor is insulated with a 0.017-inch thick PTFE jacket, resulting in an overall diameter of 0.125 inches. This wire is rated for 1000 VRMS under MIL-W-16878/5 Type EE and 300 VRMS under UL Style 1180, making it suitable for high-voltage applications. It operates over a wide temperature range of -60°C to 200°C, ideal for demanding environments.
The wire is supplied on a spool in a continuous 100 ft length. It meets RoHS3 and REACH compliance, and is exempt from California Proposition 65 labeling. The PTFE insulation provides excellent chemical resistance and dielectric strength. The silver-plated copper conductor offers good corrosion resistance and solderability.
