The Alpha Wire 5855/7 RD005 is a 22 AWG hook-up wire designed for general-purpose internal wiring of electronic equipment. It features a 7/30 stranded silver-coated copper conductor for excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance.
The wire is insulated with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), providing a jacket diameter of 0.050" (1.27mm) and a thickness of 0.010" (0.25mm). PTFE offers high thermal stability, allowing operation from -60°C to 200°C, and excellent chemical resistance.
Rated for 600V, this wire is UL Style 1213 compliant. The red jacket enables easy identification in multi-wire assemblies. Supplied in a 100 ft (30.5m) spool, it is suitable for prototyping, repair, and production environments.
