The 3M 5622-1200-ML is a 22-position SATA receptacle connector from the 5622 series, designed for host-side backplane applications. It combines signal and power contacts in a single housing and meets the SATA 2.6 specification. The connector features EMLB (Enhanced Multi-Layer Board) contacts for hot swap capability and blind mate polarization for easy cable attachment. A PCB retention clip aids manufacturing for the right angle version.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 1.5A, insulation resistance of 103 MΩ minimum, and withstanding voltage of 500 V AC at sea level. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Contacts are copper alloy with 30 µin gold plating on the wiping area and 100 µin matte tin on solder tails, over a 50 µin nickel underplating.
The connector is surface mount, right angle, with solder termination. The insulation is high temperature thermoplastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. It includes a board lock feature for secure attachment to the PCB. UL file number E68080 is recognized.
