The Preci-Dip 540-88-044-17-400-TR is a surface mount PLCC (Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier) socket designed for 44-pin IC packages. It features a 2.54mm pitch and a closed frame housing made of glass-filled PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) with UL 94V-O flammability rating.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 1A, maximum contact resistance of 20 mOhm, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 600V RMS. The socket provides a minimum contact normal force of 1.5N and a mechanical life of at least 50 cycles.
The contacts are tin-plated phosphor bronze, and the socket is rated for operating temperatures from -55°C to +125°C. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging, suitable for automated assembly. The part is UL recognized (E174442).
