The Edac 516-230-512 is a metal backshell designed for use with the 516 series rack and panel connectors. It accommodates 120 positions and features a side entry cable clamp (cover type 5). The cover is constructed from die-cast zinc finished with grey enamel paint, providing durability and a professional appearance. The cover identification code is 230.
This backshell is designed for side entry cable management, but the orientation of the clamp can be changed by the customer to convert it to top entry by removing the side plate. Screws for securing the cover to the 516 or 519 series connectors are supplied. The 516 series covers also accommodate 519 series connectors, offering flexibility in application.
The 516-230-512 is RoHS compliant and UL certified, ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards. It is suitable for use in industrial control, data communication, and other rack and panel connector systems requiring 120 signal connections.
